Board Communique August 2026
Dear Members
Principals Australia Research Foundation Ltd’s (PARF) Board met via Teams Meet on 5 August 2026. The agenda included 4 key matters:
1. PARF Review of Funded Research Projects
2. Communication Strategy and Key Messages
3. AI in Research
4. Research projects update.
PARF Review
The Board reviewed the draft expression of interest for the Review of PARF Funded Research. The Board resolved to undertake further work on the focus, scope and budget for the review and will consider commissioning of the review in 2027.
Communication Strategy and Key Messages
PARF’s Communication Strategy and Key Messages statement were discussed. The Board resolved to amend the Key Messages statement with a final review/endorsement scheduled for the October meeting. Directors will work on a program of information about PARF for broadcasting via webinars and the website.
AI in Research
The Board discussed the AI in Research report and other AI guidance material. PARF will seek further information on the implications, benefits and risks of AI in and to research and how this may affect and/or impinge on PARF’s Risk Management Plan. A report is scheduled to be presented at the October Board meeting.
Research projects update
The Board considered the progress reports on the Australian Primary Principals Association’s research project and the Queensland Association of State School Principal’s research project currently progressing well.
