Dear Members
Principals Australia Research Foundation Ltd’s (PARF) Board met via Teams Meet on 26 February 2024. The agenda included 4 key matters:
1. Investment review update
2. 2024 AGM-Half year 1 July to 31 December 2023
3. Operational Business
4. Promotion and communication of research reports
Investment Review
The Board received an update on the progress of the review by the independent financial advisor. The report is due to be presented at the next Board meeting in March.
2024 AGM- Half Year 1 July to 31 December 2023
Notice and supporting reports were approved for distribution for the AGM, scheduled for Wednesday 20 March at 0800 (AEDT). At the AGM, the Directors’ Report and Financial Statements will be considered. In accordance with the constitution, 1 third (2) of Directors will reach term. Three candidates for appointment as Directors are to be considered at the AGM. They are APPA’s nomination Angela Falkenberg (President of APPA), ASPA’s nomination Jayne Heath (Director of ASPA & CEO SASPA) and the PARF Board’s nomination Dennis Yarrington, current Chair of the PARF. Andrew Pierpoint, who has contributed substantially to the Board as ASPA’s nominee (he has recently retired as President of ASPA) will retire from the Board.

Operational Business
The Board reviewed the revised budget for 2024 and the operational plan of 2024.
Promotion of Research Reports
The Board considered updates on the current Tasmanian Principals Association project due to commence shortly and the 2023 Western Australian Secondary Schools Executive Association research project. The Board noted that an initial meeting will be held with a commercial publication company for promoting and communicating completed research projects.
