Board Communique April 2026
Dear Members
Principals Australia Research Foundation Ltd’s (PARF) Board met via Teams Meet on 23 March 2026. The agenda included 3 key matters:
1. 2026 AGM processes
2. Investment Portfolio and Investment Policy
3. Research projects update.
2026 AGM
The Board resolved to adopt supporting reports (Directors and Annual Financial statement) following which the Notice of Meeting and accompanying regulatory reports were approved for distribution to Members for the AGM, scheduled for Tuesday 21 April at 14.00 (AEST). At the AGM, the Directors’ Report and Financial Statements will be considered. In accordance with the constitution, 1 third (2) of Directors will reach term. Two candidates for appointment as Directors are to be considered at the AGM. They are APPA’s nominee, Ros Oates and ASPA’s nominee, Andy Mison. Retiring Director, Michael Hall, who was appointed when PARF was established in September 2018, has contributed substantially to the Board as an ASPA nominee.
PARF’s Directors’ Report and Financial Statements for YED2025 will be available to the public on the website.
Investment Portfolio and Policy
The Board received a report on the transfer of the portfolio from JBWere to Koda Capital. The Board noted the transfer was completed without complications and supported by the Finance and Investment committee chair. The Board resolved that the revised PARF Investment Policy be adopted as recommended by the Board’s Finance and Investment committee. The Board noted with thanks and appreciation the informative Koda Capital’s report and recommendations regarding the current financial situation.
Research Projects update
The Board considered the final reports on the South Australian Secondary Principals Association’s research project and the Australian Primary Principals Association’s research project completed in 2025. The Board will invite both project leaders to provide a presentation on the research project at the next (May) Board meeting. For the 2026 year, the Board noted that 2 projects have commenced following ethics approval completion. The remaining 2 projects are in the process of completing ethics approval.
