Board Communique October 2020
Dear Members
The Principals Australia Research Foundation Ltd (PARF) Board met via Zoom link on 13 October 2020, following the PARF AGM. At this meeting, the agenda included 3 key matters:
1. Acknowledgement and welcome of elected directors.
2. Endorsement of the Strategic Plan.
3. Confirmation of the Research and Development Funding Panel.
Welcome to Directors
At the AGM held on Tuesday 13 October, two director positions on the board were filled following election by the members. The Board acknowledges and welcomes the re-election of Michael Hall, nominated by ASPA, and the election of Fran Bonanno, nominated by APPA, to the Board. Fran replaces Ros Oates who resigned from the Board due to a change to her commitments. Fran is principal of St Felix Bankstown and brings experience as an executive member of Australian Catholic Primary Principals Association and is on the Curriculum Committee of NESA.
The Directors’ Report and Annual Financial Statements for PARF were presented at the AGM. A copy will be available on our website: www.parf.org.au
Strategic Plan
The Board adopted the Strategic Plan as presented at the meeting. A copy will be available on the website.
Research Funding Panel for 2021 funding round
The Board confirmed Michael Hall, Garry Brown OAM and Ian Anderson as the Research and Development Funding Panel members, with Garry Brown being appointed by the Board as Chair. The Panel twill meet in November to consider applications and make a recommendation to the Board. The plan is to notify successful applicants by 30 November 2020.
